Short Biography:

– Distinguish professor, Institute of Network Learning Technology, National Central University, Taiwan. Major research interests: smart learning in authentic contexts and human-computer interaction for learning.

– The highest impact factor SSCI journal (IF=4.789, 2022) in the area of technology enhanced language learning, Journal of Computer Assisted Language Learning, counts its publications in recent 12 years (2008-2019). Dr. Hwang was ranked top 1 in terms of # publications, H-index papers and impact factors.

– In the 10 years (2007-2017), Dr. Hwang was ranked in top 7 scholars of the world in terms of publication performance of 65 high quality SSCI journals in the area of instructional design and technology.

– Published around 150 high quality journal papers in major international journals indexed by SSCI and SCI in the area of educational technology.

– Owing to the outstanding contributions of research outputs to National Science and Technology Council, Taiwan, Dr. Hwang received the Ta-You Wu, Memorial Award in 2005 and Outstanding Research Award in 2021.

– Dr. Hwang is also engaged in several academic services. He has been as the co-editor of special issue “ Sensor/Recognition-based Learning in Contextual Surroundings” of Interacting With Computers(SCI/SSCI), the co-editor of special issue “The Disruptive Power of VR and Serious Games for Education” of Interactive Learning Environments(SSCI), the co-editor of the special issue “Innovations in designing mobile learning applications”,“Authentic edutainment with advanced technologies” of Educational Technology & Society (SSCI) and “Technology-Assisted Cultural Diversity Learning” Frontiers in Psychology (SSCI).

Professor Kwang-Dr. Hyun Baek

Title:   Integrative Research and Education for System IC Engineers in Korea

Short Biography:

Kwang-Hyun Baek received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Korea University, Seoul, South Korea, in 1990 and 1998, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign (UIUC), Champaign, IL, USA, in 2002.

From 2000 to 2006, he was with the Department of High-Speed Mixed-Signal ICs, Rockwell Scientific Company, formerly Rockwell Science Center (RSC), Thousand Oaks, CA, USA, as a Senior Scientist. At RSC, he was involved in the development of high-speed high-performance data converters (ADC/DAC) and direct digital frequency synthesizers (DDFSs). He was also with Samsung Electronics, Ki-Heung, South Korea, from 1990 to 1996. Since 2006, he has been with the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Chung-Ang University (CAU), Seoul, Korea where he is currently a full professor and serves as the Dean of College of ICT Engineering.

He is also a Vice Presient of The Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers (IEIE), Korea, the Director of i-EoT System IC Center for Convergence Education, and the Director of Research and Education Center for the Next-generation System IC.

His research interests include high-performance analog and digital circuits such as high-efficient ADC for CMOS Image Sensor applicaiotns, low-power ADCs, high-speed DACs, hybrid frequency synthesizers (PLLs, DDFSs), high-speed interface circuits (CDRs, SerDes), Power Management IC (PMIC), ultra low-power near threshold-voltage (NTV) circuits, and processing-in-memory (PIM).
